Is a Buddhist priest having received his final ordination in Japan after years of prior training and study. He has been an active Buddhist practitioner since the age of 17 and officially converted and took vows at the age of 19.
Ryusho grew up in New Orleans but later lived for many years in Hawaii, where he received his discharge from the Marine Corps, until his thirties. Ryusho has lived in many other parts of the United States, traveling around with his partner of 26 years, and currently resides in Charlotte. He graduated from Portland State University in Portland Oregon. Currently he is training to become a certified Chaplain and will begin a residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte NC.
He loves to read and in fact doesn't own a TV. His personal time consists of walking his dog, listening to classical music, playing his guitar and flute, and reading, lots of reading.
